Turn messy client briefs into something your team can actually work from

Your clients send briefs in all sorts of ways. A rambling email. A voice note recorded in the car. A Slack thread with half the requirements buried in a reply from three days ago. A Word doc that mixes deliverables with opinions with questions that have nothing to do with the project.

Then someone on your team (usually the PM, sometimes you) spends 30 to 60 minutes pulling out the actual brief, formatting it, and chasing the gaps.

This skill does that in about 30 seconds.

Paste the raw brief into Claude. Upload the document. Drop in the voice note transcript. Whatever you have, however messy it is. The skill extracts the real requirements and gives you back a clean, structured brief with:

  • A clear project overview (what the client is actually asking for, in plain language)

  • Specific deliverables pulled from whatever the client said

  • Timelines, budget, audience, tone, and brand details (where the client mentioned them)

  • A missing information section with specific questions your PM can send straight back to the client

That last part is where the real value sits. The skill does not just organise what the client gave you. It tells you exactly what they forgot to mention, framed as questions you can copy and paste into a reply.

It handles edge cases well too. If the client sends a three-sentence brief ("We need a rebrand. Budget is 25k. September deadline."), the skill correctly says "this is too thin to start work from" and produces a list of 10+ specific questions to send back. It does not invent scope that the client never mentioned.

Works for any type of agency: content, SEO, paid media, creative, design, branding, web development, or a mix of all of them.
